The Office: In Memory of Nathan Robinson

Apparently a genius 15 year old who died recently in Boston from a staph infection/pnumonia/flu. Here is his obit from the Boston Globe.

And the impromptu youtube performance:

The internet is AMAZING! I just watched the Office -- I'm on the west coast. I saw this kid playing the piano at the end and a note "In Memory". I googled it and found your great website with info on tv, movies, etc. Thanks! The Internet is AMAZING!

thanks for sharing this. Amazing young man. It was really marvelous that the Office chose to honor him.

Just finished watching the office (I'm on the West coast) and was awestruck by this kid playing the theme and then was sad to see "In Memoriam". Thanks for posting this so quickly; was the only place I found the info about Nathan.

I watched The office last night and, inexplicably, I woke up remembering the name of the young man I saw honored at the end. I, too, googled him, read his amazing story and was touched by it. My memory is just not that great, so there may have been a higher power at work this morning, for today I want to live a little bit more like Nathan Robinson.

Yup, saw the show last night with my wife and kids, and we were all very touched by this little boy playing the Office theme song on his piano, and them come to learned that he'd died. Its one of those unexpected moments I know I won’t forget; kudos to the show for honoring a loyal fan.
