Seriously, I've been thinking of getting one. You know, to stimulate the economy. My co-worker says he sets his to go back and forth at the bottom of the stairs and just sweeps away the animal hair. It seems so convenient. It would be easy and my floors would be clean every day I came home.
My cat lives upstairs (I assume) when I am out, so it would be perfect. Having said this, here is the perfect Roomba cat video I have ever seen:
